Poisoned Apple Tree

So one of the larger inside pieces of this year's decorations is going to be a large-ish poisoned apple tree in the corner. I have almost all the elements, save a hula hoop--a trip to Toys R Us is in my future. In the meantime, I've been working on the leaves that will surround the tree. I considered getting realistic looking plastic leaves, but that's super expensive for a one time endeavor, and I already had a large ream of dark green paper. For branches, I crocheted two lines of brown yarn together in a 3 foot chain, and staple the leaves onto them about six inches apart. About 30 branches at this point. I'll see if I need to do anymore.
