Archway thoughts

I should not be allowed on pinterest. I mean that in an entirely sincere fashion. It only serves to fuel my rabid squirrel excitement level about Halloween. BUT, on the upside, I find awesome ideas.

THIS, for example:

So yes, there will a tattoo removal display, probably under the family portraits/creepy headless ones corner. I also found myself on a page that featured medieval torture items and places (cause it naturally follows from Halloween props) and the museum for one such place had stained a lattice and placed it above a doorway to simulate a dungeon door on the verge of collapse. So I'm now semi-inspired by it and am thinking it might be doable to place one above the doorway to the kitchen. With maybe some spiked skulls on either side...will have to think more on this one.

Headless Project

I've been toying with this project ever since I discovered some headless photography that was taken during the turn of the century, when people were playing with what a camera could do. So the basic plan is to get some dollar/thrift store frames, print out some of the prints, and center them around a family decal that I've seen at the $1 store about family.

The killer plant from outer space was just frightening enough to keep me on the edge of my seat, but the movie (I'm speaking of the 1986 version with Rick Moranis) also had enough humor and comedic timing to be something that was continually watched, even if not Halloween.

And so...
