Zombie Pumpkin Products

Well I have officially fallen in love with the transfer/graphite paper that Zombie pumpkins is selling. I don't know how I'd ever go back to punching holes for patterns ever again. Soooo much easier--and not nearly as messy as I was fearing. I also ordered a couple more rainbow lights and a gutter drill bit. I have yet to try the gutter yet--the grocery stores haven't yet put out their pumpkins, but I'm eagerly awaiting the time when I can save my hand (and nails) from working on scraping a pumpkin for a good 45 minutes. I've also done a bit of reverse engineering to try a hanging pumpkin. Went to Home Depot and got some cable, a washer, some screws, and a crimper (?--I know not the official name). Anyway, works pretty well so far--I need to get out a tool that actually is designed to cut heavy wire--I only had jewelry cutters on me at the time. Might have to do some reworking for a real pumpkin, but I'm optimistic. The tentative plan is to hang maybe 6-10 from the patio. I'm debating if I want them all to be jacks, just grinning faces swaying in the wind, or if I want more of a gallery...hmmm...and then there's the question of making them two sided pumpkin, which could be cool--see one side from the street, the other side as you come on the porch. Much depends on how easy the drill bit works. One of the major things that takes so long is the scraping/prep work. By the time one pumpkin is done, my hand is already tired. Hanging Pumpkins

Going to try something new this year. I found this site that demonstrates how you can suspend your pumpkin via a cable, washer, and some screws. So I'm planning on hanging at least a few all along the patio this year. I was thinking maybe I could just focus on classic jack-o-lanterns--just faces, but lots. I also ordered a drill bit from zombie pumpkins that's supposed to help in loosening pumpkin innards--so hopefully that will help with the lots of pumpkins.
